ORDER OF EVENTS
These are approximate times that each event will start. Every effort is made to run the meet smoothly and on schedule. If the meet runs ahead of schedule, it will be allowed to continue to run ahead of schedule, up to one hour ahead of the times stated in the event schedule shown below. Participants should be at the track, ready to participate, a minimum of one hour prior to the scheduled start of their event. Participants who miss the start of their event will be scratched from the event.
8:00 AM Volunteers/Officials Meeting at finish line area. PLEASE BE PROMPT
8:30 AM Coaches and Athletic Director Meeting at Clerk Tent (located at the 100 meter starting
line) Pick up meet packets/wristbands/Q&A time.
8:45 AM Player Prayer and National Anthem
9:00 AM Field Events Open
50 Meter Dash – Grade K – 2
100 Meter Dash – Grade K – 5
10:00 AM 1600 Meter Run – Grade 4 – 5 (each grade/sex runs a heat)
11:00 AM 4 x 50 Relay – Grade K – 1
4 x 100 Relay – Grade 2 – 5
12:00 PM All Field Events Close at 12:00 PM. No exceptions.
12:00 PM 200 Meters – Grade K – 5
1:00 PM 400 Meters – Grade 3 -5
1:45 PM Mixed Relays (Not scored. Hand timed. Ribbons at finish line.)
2:45 PM 800 Meters – Grade 3 – 5
Athletes are required to check in with the Clerk of the Track prior to start of their event. The Clerk / Check-In area will be behind the 100 meter dash starting area. A staging area for athletes will be roped off and athletes will be escorted to their respective starting lines by their team captain (volunteer) for all running events. Field event participants check in at their respective field event.
NO JEWELRY allowed on the athletes at any time. ATHLETES MUST WEAR SCHOOL CYS SHIRT in competition.
Running Events are run in the following order:
K grade girls
K grade boys
1st grade girls
1st grade boys
2nd grade girls
2nd grade boys
3rd grade girls
3rd grade boys
4th grade girls
4th grade boys
5th grade girls
5th grade boys
Field Events will be in flights. There will be separate throwing and jumping areas for girls and boys.
All Field Events will close at 12:00 PM (NO EXCEPTIONS) If you are in line and waiting at that time you will be allowed to jump.
