The 56th Annual Ed Wells Jr.-Kiwanis Invitational will be held on March 10, 2018. This meet is run in accordance to the National Federation of High Schools Track and Field rules. Awards are given to the top eight places in every event, champion and runner-up trophies are presented to the top two teams for each gender, and as always, two coaches from each team are provided with a free meal voucher. The entry fee this year is $150 per school. That includes both the boys and girls team. If only one team competes, the fee is $75. No refunds. Teams must register by 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 7th to be entered, and this deadline will not be extended for any reason.
No implement weigh-in. Coaches meeting at 8:15am. Field events begin at 9:00am. All races will be finals, schedule is posted below. 3 athletes per team can be entered in any of the running events. Throws and horizontal jumps will be limited to top 24 marks entered. Vertical jumps will be limited to the top 16 marks entered. Qualifiers in throws and horizontal jumps will be given four attempts with no finals. When registering your athletes you may use past seasons PRs, but please be realistic and please do not list fictitious times or distances. Also, please do not register athletes who are unlikely to participate as no additions or substitutions will take place.

If you have volunteers or coaches who wish to assist with any of the field events their help is welcomed and appreciated and discounted entry fees will be given to coaching staffs able to assist with field events. Commemorative T-shirts and concessions will be available at the meet.

Athletes must report to the clerk prepared to race. They will not be permitted on the track unless they are in uniform ready to race. Entrance to the track will be at the South end of the track. Athletes will exit the track at the North end after each race. All spikes must be 1/8 inch pyramids. No needle spikes are allowed.
