Both Courses will start and finish on the Fountain’s South course. The South course can be accessed via the main gate off of Lake Work Road, or the South gate off of Jog Road. Parking passes will be handed out upon arrival. The Fountains features three impeccably maintained golf courses, and the South course, with long fairways and open space, will ensure that the athletes have a fast and scenic venue. The men will run two identical 4k loops, which will start and finish in the same location. The women will run one 1k loop, and the same 4k loop that the men will use. Each mile will be marked, and splits will be given.
Entries:
Each team is allowed to enter unlimited runners, although each team can only start 10. Seven runners will count in scoring (five runners score and two displace). In accordance with the NAIA regulations, entries must be submitted to www.directathletics.com. The entry deadline will be posted in the near future. All declarations and scratches will be conducted at the coaches meeting on Friday, November 7th. The Sun Conference gets one automatic men’s and women’s team bids, and four (4) individual bids per gender to the NAIA National Cross Country Championships in Lawrence, KS on November 22. Entry fee to The Sun Conference Championships is $100 per team per gender. Make checks payable to : Northwood University.
Scoring and Awards:
Each team may have ten competitors. Five athletes will score with the next two displacing. Any remaining athletes will not will not influence scoring in any way. Awards will take place at the awards banquet on Saturday, November 8th. Awards to include; Team Champions and Runners-Up, All Conference (1st and 2nd Team, 7&7), Runner and Newcomer of the Year, Coach of Year and Champions of Character award— awards for each gender.
Sports Information:
Complete meet results will be compiled and distributed by Elite Timing,llc. to the media and team coaching staffs as soon as possible upon the completion of the meet; with accompanying result tickets (provided in packet). No coaches or athletes will be permitted in the scoring area at any time.
NAIA National Qualifying:
The top team in both the men’s and women’s race will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships to be held in Lawrence, KS on Saturday, November 22, 2014. The top four (4) individuals not associated with the winning team will also qualify.
T-Shirts:
Complimentary t-shirts will be provided to all race participants (up to 10 per team per gender) and coaches (2 per school) who are deemed starting the race by their coaches. Please send t-shirt sizes to Elizabeth Baux at Ave Maria. elizabeth.baux@avemaria.edu.

The hotel is off of the Florida Turnpike, and 1.9 miles away from the Fountains Country Club. If reservations are made before October 6, you will be guaranteed a discounted rate. Call 561 472-5980 for reservations, and use NAIA Sun Conference CC as a code.
Banquet:
The banquet will be at noon on Saturday, November 8, at the Fountains Country Club. Each team’s guest list for the banquet will be limited to the individuals entered in the race. Maximum 10 per team per gender, plus two coaches. There will be a very limited number of tickets available for team members not running at a cost of $20.
